Encapsulation

Encapsulation although similar to Lamination, there are a few key differences, firstly encapsulation covers BOTH surfaces thus healing it with a tough waterproof, plastic film thus increasing it's lifespan. Secondly to achieve a true seal it's necessary to leave an overlap of 3-5mm on each edge offering air-tight protection, this must be taken into consideration if the graphic needs to be fitted into a frame.

The Encapsulate is applied after the printing process through heated rollers between high pressured rollers to ensure good and even adhesion. Common uses for encapsulated sheets include maps, menus, sales presenters, A frames amongst many. Once encapsulated sheets can be creased, drilled, slot punched, eyeleted, strutted, glue or velcro tabbed.
